Chen received her B.Sc. in Biology from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, where she also earned her M.Sc. and direct Ph.D. degrees. Under the supervision of Prof. Yoav Arava, her graduate studies focused on the co-translational regulation of RNA localization to mitochondria. During her postdoc in Prof. Coleen Murphy’s lab at Princeton University, NJ, she studied the relationships between mitochondria and reproductive aging. Chen is fascinated by cellular organelles and is eager to understand their role in regulating aging.
